A brilliant presentation of the plastic surgery work pioneered by Henry Pickerill, the author of this author. This work details the new methods of surgery used to help patients, in particular to those who had been injured in combat during World War One.
Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, and in-text illustrations throughout.
With an introduction by Sir W. Arbuthnot Lane, who pioneering internal fixation on displaced fractures.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Shelf wear to the head and tail of the spine, and to the extremities, with a small amount of loss. A few light marks and a little light rubbing to the cloth. Front hinge is starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with a few scattered spots.
