Illustrated with a colour frontispiece and many illustrations over fifty-seven monochrome plates. Collated, complete.
Inscribed by the author to the front blank: "To Ambrose Heal with authors' compliments Harry Barnard 1924". Also included is a typed letter from the author to Heal who was the previous owner of the work, with his bookplate to the front pastedown. Heal was an English furniture designer, best known for being the chairman of Heal's (Heal & Son), the British furniture company.
A study on the products created by the renowned Wedgewood company, written by an influential employee of the company, Harry Barnard. 'Wedgewood Ware' refers to the products created by Josiah Wedgwood and Sons Ltd, an English fine china and porcelain manufacturer known for its iconic 'wedgwood Blue' style of tableware. This work covers the tableware, busts and figures, cream colour ware and more, providing a history of the company and its celebrated products.

Condition
In the publisher's original cloth. Externally, scattered damp stains to the extremities of the boards. Internally firmly bound with only the slightest strain to the frontispiece. Offsetting to the endpapers. Pages bright and generally clean with only the odd minor spot.
