    Description

    Illustrated, Limited Edition, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding

    A limited edition, with 'The Apocrypha' being number 1199 out of 1250 copies, and the other four volumes one of 1000 copies, with all printed on Japon vellum. 

    A five volume complete set, including 'The Apocrypha'. 

    Illustrated with copper engraved title pages and headpieces designed and engraved by Stephen Francis. 

    This limited edition copy of the Holy Bible was published by the Nonesuch press and is beautifully adorned with detailed copper engravings. The work was reprinted from the authorised version of 1611. The set includes; 'The Apocrypha', 'Genesis to Ruth', 'Samuel to Psalms', 'Proverbs to Malachi', and 'The New Testament'. 

    In the publisher's original cloths with gilt borders.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original gilt cloth. Externally excellent with only the odd very minimal handling mark, very minor edge wear, and the remnants of a small label to the front cover of 'Samuel to Psalms'. Bookplate of 'Lord Trent' to the front pastedowns, and only very minimal light spotting to the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages.
