The first edition of this work, of which only five-hundred copies were produced.

Written in 1850 but not published until 1923, this is a dramatic play by Anthony Trollope, which was never staged. 

Trollope described it as 'a comedy, partly in blank verse, and partly in prose', and explained that 'the plot I afterward used in a novel called Can You Forgive Her?'.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Minor bump to back strip head, otherwise externally excellent. Inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
