Illustrated with six tipped in colour plates by English illustrator Margaret Tarrant, a popular illustrator of the early twentieth century, known for her depictions of fairy-like children. Collated, complete.

Condition

In the publisher's original paper covered boards. Boards lightly age toned, with handling marks to perimeters. Lacking the majority of the paper to the back strip. Joints starting, with boards firmly held. Inscription to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. One tipped in plate detached and loosely inserted. Pages lightly age toned, but generally clean, with only the odd handling mark.
