Bound in the publisher's hardback boards, with the original, very scarce glassine wrap. Written by American short-story author and essayist, Washington Irving, who was best known for his collection of sketches, particularly those surrounding Christmas, such as this one.

Condition
Bound in the publisher's hardback boards, with the original glassine wrap. Externally, very smart, with slight soiling to boards, with a tide mark to the rear. Light bumping to the extremities and a little fading. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Glassine wrap is slightly worn, with loss to the spine and extremities, heavier to the head of the spine. Closed tears and small puncture marks to the wrap. Internally, firmly bound with very bright and clean pages.
