One of 800 limited edition copies of this uncommon work, printed on Imperial Japan paper, in the publisher's original paper wraps, with the glassine wrapper in two separate pieces.
A collection of poems, satirising French symbolism and the Decadent movement, by Gabriel Vicaire (1848-1900) and Henri Beauclair (1860-1919) under the collective pseudonym Adoré Floupette.
This literary spoof prompted several months of debate within Parisian literary circles.
Condition
In the publisher's original paper wraps, with the glassine wrapper in two separate pieces. Externally, generally smart, though sunned. Creasing to the backstrip, with a little chipping to the head and tail. 4.5cm tear to the tail of the front joint. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Glassine wrapper is sunned and chipped. Loss to the spine of the glassine wrapper, causing it to separate into two pieces.
