Also the first printing, with no mention of further printings after 1923.
With sheet music by C. Armstrong Gibbs, and twelve full-page plates and further illustrations throughout by Dorothy P. Lathrop. Including a colour frontispiece. Collated, complete.
With a previous owner's bookplate and inscription to front free endpapers.
Condition
In the publisher's original blue cloth binding with decorative gilt. Externally, very smart, with bumping and slight loss of cloth to extremities. Internally, mostly firmly bound, with front hinge strained and cloth binding visible. Pages clean but age toned. Previous owner's bookplate and inscription to front free endpapers. Fore edge roughly cut.
