Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce
A very scarce volume of wool samples.
Featuring thirty-six colourful samples of 4 ply super scotch fingering and 4 ply super knitting wools, with only minor losses to three of these samples.
Partners Arthur Carter and Edwin Parker founded their company producing hand knitting wools at Baildon Mills near Shipley in Yorkshire in 1898.
Carter & Parker's 'Cock o'th' North' range of wools were originally advertised as being an ideal product for knitting items for WWI servicemen, due to their warmth and high quality.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth backed, pictorial paper covered boards. Significant handling marks to boards. Internally, firmly bound. Internally, clean and bright, with wool samples generally in excellent condition, but with small losses of wool to three samples.
