What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
First edition, first impressions of four works from Walpole.
The first work is 'Jeremy and Hamlet', 1923, in the original unclipped dust wrapper.
The second is 'Wintersmoon, Passages in the Lives of Two Sisters Janet and Rosalind Grandison', 1928, in the original unclipped dust wrapper.
The third is 'Farthing Hall' 1929, written in collaboration with J. B. Priestley, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Walpole, the older novelist, writes as the young artist, while Priestley takes the character of the middle-aged academic in this unusual work.
The final work is 'All Souls' Night', 1933. This is the first edition, first impression, but in the later state binding of red cloth. In clipped dust wrapper.
This final work includes a number of celebrated supernatural tales, including "Tarnhelm; or, The Death of My Uncle Robert" and "The Silver Mask".
With advertisements to the rear of the final two volumes.
