The work opens by introducing the formation of the 80th Lancashire Rifle Volunteers in Liverpool, which later became known as the 9th Battalion of The King's Liverpool Regiment. Providing accounts of the battalion's journey, training, and experiences in various campaigns. With a list of decorations to the rear. Written by Enos Herbert Glynne Roberts.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Minor fading to the spine with small splits in the cloth to the head and tail. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot and light age toning to the extremities and endpapers. A contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper.
