An extremely well presented copy of John Masefield's long poem, 'The Dream', written as a tribute to his departed friend, Charles Daniel, who was a former provost of Worcester College, Oxford.
Wonderfully illustrated with four striking monochrome plates by the author's daughter, Judith Masefield, who was just eighteen at the time.
Collated, complete.
Condition
Bound in the publisher's quarter cloth with paper-covered boards, with the original glassine wrap. Externally, excellent, with minor shelf wear and a little discolouration to the head of the board. Glassine is also excellent, with light edge wear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean. Author's signature to title page.
