Description
First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
The first edition, first impression.
With eight previous titles listed to the verso of the half-title, indicating a first impression of the first edition according to Mcilvaine 27a.
In a later publisher's original price clipped dust wrapper, dated circa 1950 via the advertisements to the front flyleaf.
Containing ten short stories around a golfing theme, predominantly narrated by a repeat character in Wodehouse's golf stories, the Oldest Member.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price clipped dust wrapper. Bumps to spine head and tail, otherwise externally excellent. Dust wrapper only a touch sunned to back strip, with chipping and small losses to back strip head and tail, and closed tears to the head of the front and rear wraps. Small tape repairs to head of reverse of front and rear wraps. Small loss to tail of front wrap. Light tide mark to rear wrap, showing distinctly to the reverse of the wrap. Internally, firmly bound, with pages clean and bright.
