Two lectures on occultism delivered by the author at the Royal Institution on the 17th and 24th May 1921.
These lectures explore the subject of occultism from the point of view of a self-proclaimed rationalist. The author looks at the boom in popularity in the occult at this time, with phenomena such as seances and phrenology becoming increasingly popular.

Arthur Keith was an anatomist and anthropologist, and a proponent of scientific racism.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Cloth is a little cockled to the rear board. Front hinge is starting but firm. Author's inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Dust wrapper is edge worn, with loss to the head of the spine, the front wrap is detached from the spine. Wraps are a little age-toned with a few light marks. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
