    French. A detailed and comprehensive religious study, exploring the author's own transition from civilian life to that of a Monk. Being a book about love and suffering - the courage to love and the consequence of suffering - with comparison to his time as an army officer and commentary on the development of one man's faith amongst many. The text begins with an apology for having published these pages "too full of myself" as an incongruous gesture. Written by Martial Lekeux, a Belgian officer, monk, and writer.

    Condition

    Bound in marbled paper covered boards. Externally, very smart with minor wear only. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with minor age toning to the endpapers.
