Written by Herbert Cescinsky, a prominent figure in the world of antiques and decorative arts during the period, and Ernest R. Gribble, a factory manager for antique furniture manufacturers and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce. Prior to this work, Cescinsky co-authored "English Furniture of the Eighteenth Century," a seminal work that solidified his reputation as an expert in antique furniture.
Condition
In the original cloth binding. Externally, excellent, with really only minor shelf wear and a couple marks to the spine. Internally, half title page and frontispiece to Vol I loosening, otherwise volume is firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with only offsetting to the endpapers.
