First edition. With a folding map to the rear. Collated complete. An early history of Arabia, from ancient times to the end of the Ottoman era, with chapters on the institution of Islam, the Arabian Caliphate, Sherifates, and details on the Turkish domination and fall. Written by David George Hogarth, a British orientalist archaeologist and scholar associated with T. E. Lawrence and Arthur Evans, who was Keeper of the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot and minor age toning to the endpapers.
