He condemns the Allied policy and his strong stance against this lead to his resignation from the post of principal representative of the British treasury at the Paris Peace Conference of 1919. With the original dustwrapper in a very smart condition. Upon initial publication, this work was rather controversial and many of his prophecies in this work became true. An important work in the Keynesian cannon.

Dustwrapper is very smart with minor chips to the head and tail of spine, which is sunned as usual. A few light marks to wraps. Prior owner's inscription to the front pastedown. Minor offsetting to the endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
