A five volume set, featuring volumes from 1922, 1924, 1925, 1926 and 1927.
This set features two collections of stories from a variety of talented authors such as the celebrated P. G. Wodehouse with a story about his popular character 'Jeeves'. The '1926' collection is notable for its inclusion of Evelyn Waugh's first ever commercial publication, 'The Balance', a short story written in a experimental modernist style.

Condition
In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with fading to the spines, marks to the boards, including damp staining to the rear to 1922 and to the spine to '1924', and light wear to the extremities, with small closed tears to the head of the spine to '1924'. Rear hinge slightly strained to 1926, with tidemarks to the extremities of the endpapers to 1922, and an ink inscription to 1927. Internally firmly bound with minimal age toning to several of the volumes, otherwise bright, and occasional light spotting, heavier to the front and rears.
