Two collections of poetry from Thomas Hardy Thomas an English novelist and poet who wrote within the Victorian realist genre, being inspired by Romanticism.

'Human Shows far Phantasies' is Hardy's penultimate poetry collection, published only three years before his death. It has been regarded as one of Hardy's most cheerful works, and includes many personal poems reflecting on his life and loved ones. 'Late Lyrics and Earlier' contains the works 'Weathers', 'Summer Schemes', 'Jezreel' and 'A Woman's Fancy' amongst other verses.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloths. Lacking the original dust wrappers. Externally excellent with only very minimal rubbing to the extremities, and slight fading to the spine to 'Far Phantasies'. Offsetting to the endpapers to 'Late Lyrics', and spotting to 'Far Phantasies'. Internally firmly bound with bright and generally clean with only the odd spot. The odd page unopened.
