    Colour Plates, Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

    Very scarce work. Illustrated with six colour plates and numerous in-text images. Collated complete. A delightful collection of fantastical stories and verses for young children. With titles such as: Oranges and Lemons, Naughty Molly, Winnie's Pixie, In Rabbit Land, and A Trip to Fairyland, amongst others. With contributions from well-known artists, illustrators, and authors, including: Ethel K. Joliffe, Jessie Pope, Ada Leonora Harris, Edith E. Carter, H. G. C. Marsh-Lambert, and many others. Dated from the British Library.

    Condition

    In the original quarter cloth binding with pictorial paper covered boards. Externally, sound with light rubbing and bumping resulting in minor loss to the board tips. The odd small mark to the boards with minor fading to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. Minor age toning to the endpapers with a contemporary ink inscription to the half-title.
