Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, twelve colour plates, and a further five monochrome plates. Collated, complete.

Arranged in three parts: Full Dress and Levee Dress; Wearing of Insignia; Scale of Precedence, Court and Levee Regulations, Undress, Evening Dress, &c.

Tipped in to the front free endpaper is a very scarce six page tipped in pamphlet published by HMSO in 1926 titled 'Instructions Regarding Dress, Uniform, Etc. For Officers Attending Levees Held by H. M. The King'.

With advertisements to the rear.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Fading to back strip, with shelf wear to back strip tail and bump to back strip head. Small areas of fading to perimeters of front board. Internally, binding lightly strained to the centre. Pages bright and generally clean, with the odd light handling mark.
