[1921] Continuous Carbonization in Vertical Retorts: Glover-West System
What Our Customers Say...
Description
Early Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce
A very scarce copy of this report on the Glover-West system of continuous carbonization in vertical retorts, dated from the titles to the front board of this volume, in the publisher's original cloth binding, with logo in gilt to the front board. Issued by the West's Gas Improvement Company.
The system was introduced by John West in collaboration in Samuel Glove. Some successful experiments in 1917 on the simultaneous generation of water-gas produced large development in the gas industry. This volume outlines the development of the work done during and since the war, with photographs and plans in black and white illustrating the various instalments and expansion of the retorts.
