A renowned nonsense novel for children following the story of a girl named Alice who falls through a rabbit hole into a fantasy world of anthropomorphic creatures. This work has never been out of print and has been translated into one hundred and seventy-four languages, with its legacy including adaptations to screen, radio, visual art, ballet, opera, and musical theatre, as well as theme parks, board games and video games. Written by Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known by his pen name Lewis Carroll, an English author, poet, mathematician, photographer and reluctant Anglican deacon. Most noted for this work and its sequel Through the Looking-Glass (1871).
Condition
In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and fading to the spine. The odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting, predominantly to the first and last few pages.
