    First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

    The first edition, first impression, in the publisher's original price unclipped dust wrapper.

    Majority of leaves unopened to head, title page included.

    A play about mining, labour, and capitol, and in which industrial action plays a major role. 

    Authored prior to the publication of 'Women in Love', Lawrence re-uses a number of character types and themes from that work.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original paper covered boards, with unclipped dust wrapper. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with paper label to spine somewhat tenderly held. Dust wrapper lightly age toned to back strip, with small losses of paper to back strip head and tail, an with four small losses to the tail of the front wrap, and one minor loss to the head of the front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright. Majority of leaves - including title page - unopened to the head.
