Written by world-famous naturalist, photographer and folklorist Seton Gordon. Birds of the Scottish glens were his passion, and is believed to be the first to photograph the snow bunting and the whooper swan at nests in Scotland.
This work is an in depth set of observations on the wildlife found in Iona and the Inner Hebrides, including chapters on sunset and sunrise on Ben Nevis, the tribe of the sea swallows and summer in the western highlands.

In publisher's original green cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Bumping to head and tail of the spine, with small splitting of cloth to the tail. Age toning and light spotting to endpapers. Rear hinge cracked. Ink inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are clean and bright with the odd spot. Light spotting to fore edge.
