First edition, first impression. Containing a series of letters from the author's travels, descriptive of American, Canadian, and Egyptian life. He shares observations and descriptions of the lands he visits, including Monadnock, Quebec, the desert, and more. Written by Joseph Rudyard Kipling, an English journalist, novelist, poet, and short-story writer who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1907. With four leaves of publisher's advertisements to rear.

Condition

In the original red cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor wear to the extremities and light fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper.
