An intriguing essay on Rupert Brooke, in which Walter de la Mare exposes his theory of imagination in relation to Brooke, in particular his theory on childlike imagination.
This work was delivered as a lecture before Rugby School, where Brooke attended, on the 27th March 1919, four years after his death during World War One.

In a half calf binding with cloth to the boards, bound by Sangorski & Sutcliffe. Externally, smart. Light rubbing to the spine and extremities. Spine is a little faded. Bookplate to the front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
