First edition. An autobiographical account of life as an Artillery Officer for the 18th Division during the First World War, this work follows the campaign of 1918, fighting with the Americans, to the death of Colonel Austin Thorp. Written by George H. F. Nichols, under the pseudonym Quex, a British officer and author.

Condition

In the original red cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine with the odd mark to the boards. Black marks to the rear board and a library sticker to the front board. Rear hinge starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot. Age toning to the endpapers. Plain label covered library stamp to front pastedown.
