Nineteen volumes of Kent County Cricket Club's 'Blue Books', for the years 1919 to 1945.

This set includes the volumes for the years 1919, 1920, 1921, 1922, 1923, 1924, 1925, 1926, 1927, 1928, 1930, 1931, 1932, 1933, 1934, 1935, 1936, 1937, 1938, and 1945. 

Kent's 'Blue Books' lays out the rules of the sport and the list of subscribers of the club, and each volume records the matches played in each year, and balance sheets. 

Kent County Cricket Club is one of the eighteen first-class county clubs of England and Wales, founded in 1870. Kent has won the County Championship seven times.

This set provides detailed information on cricket, providing an interesting history for any sports lover.

Kent's 'Blue Books' was published annually between 1878 to 1946, with breaks in publications during the two world wars.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, a little rubbed. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spines and to the extremities. A few light marks to the cloth. Gilt is a little rubbed. Tears to the head and tail of the rear joint of 1922 and 1923. Chips to the extremities of 1926 and 1931. Spines are faded, more so to the 1919, 1932, 1935, 1936, and 1945 volumes. A small amount of loss to the tail of the spine of 1920. Small tear to the front joint of 1936. Front hinge of 1922 is starting but firm. Paste downs of 1931 are sunned. Discolouration to the paste downs and endpapers of 1928. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
