First Edition, With Dustwrapper
Very rare in the original dustwrappers. Edited by author, critic and poet Sir Edmund William Gosse, as well as noted bibliophile Thomas James Wise, included here is an introduction and analysis to the letters by Gosse. Includes an ink inscription dated Christmas 1951.
Condition
In cloth binding with gilt detailing and original unclipped dustwrappers. Externally quite smart, there is some wear to the extremities light markings to the boards. The dustwrappers have loss, chipping, wear and markings to the panels. Internally, the pages are firmly bound and are bright and clean throughout, aside from the usual light foxing to endpages. Some pages are uncut.
