Offering the writings of O. Henry (real name William Sydney Porter), an American writer of short stories and poetry. His works are often noted for their naturalist observations, witty narration and plot twists. His novel 'Cabbages and Kings' (which coined the term "banana republic) was written whilst Porter was in Honduras, where he fled to avoid his trial for embezzlement in 1895.
Includes, but not limited to, 'Voice of the City', 'Roads of Destiny', 'Rolling Stones', 'Cabbages and Kings', and 'The Four Million'.
Each volume is illustrated with a frontispiece and three plates. Collated, complete.

Condition
In the publisher's original quarter paper vellum, with the original cloth gilt-stamped dust wrappers. Externally, very smart, with minor bumping to the extremities. Dust wrappers are also very smart, with minor edge wear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with offsetting to the endpapers and the odd spot to the first and last few leaves.
