In the original publisher's cloth binding. 

A charming collection of fables written by Cyril Alington, a headmaster at both Eton College and Shrewsbury School. These fables were written to teach students Christian and patriotic virtues. An appendix of hymns are included at the end.

The fables were heavily influenced by the First World War.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally very smart. Slight bumping to the head and tail of spine, with minimal handling marks and rubbing. Prior owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, pages are firmly bound. The odd spot, with offsetting to the front and endpapers.
