    Colour Plates, First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

    The first edition of this work in book form. This title was previously published in 1906 in a folding panorama design which was detested by booksellers.

    Quinby No. 11A. With Quinby plate XII to the front endpapers and plate XIII to the rear endpapers, as called for.

    Beautifully illustrated in colour in Potter's typical style, with a colour frontispiece and fourteen colour plates. Collated, complete.

    Contemporary inscription to front free endpaper.

    In a plain protective paper dust wrapper.

    In the publisher's original paper covered boards, with pictorial onlay to front board. Externally, fine. Inscription to front free endpaper. Housed in plain protective paper dust wrapper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
