Description

The second edition of this very scarce work.
A brilliant detailed guide to the Nilgiri Hills and the Nilgiris district, in southern India. The mountains are known in English as the Blue Mountains, due to the growth of the blue Strobilanthes flower.
Illustrated with thirty-seven plates. Collated, complete.

Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, a little rubbed. Spine is faded. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Light marks to the cloth. Tape repair to the front hinge, and to the gutter of a few pages. Loss and a prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, binding is strained in places. Pages are bright and generally clean, with a few scattered spots.
