A very scarce first edition, in the publisher's original paper wraps.
Illustrated with six folding colour maps and charts, and forty-six pages of colour maps. Collated, complete.
Including provincial maps, divisional maps, district maps, and 'geographical maps of India and neighbouring countries'. These maps are corrected up to January 1st, 1915.
This volume discusses the measurements and prices of the maps if purchased by the general public.
Published under the supervision of Sir Sidney Gerald Burrard, 7th Baronet, a British army officer who served as Surveyor General of India, and helped to organized the Indian Science Congress.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth backed paper wraps. Fading to back strip tail, with major tide marks to front wrap. Rear wrap clean. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and generally clean, with only the odd spot. Tide marks to fore edge and tail of nine maps, with spotting to final few leaves. Instances of neat tape repairs to folding maps at reverse.
