The first edition of this very scarce work.
Author's presentation copy, inscribed by the author to the recto of the front endpaper, "For Lucy Taylor, from, Graze Hazard Conkling, May 1925. Today my little ship comes home - ".
Grace Hazard Conkling's first published collection of verses, containing titles such as: 'Proserpina and the Sea-Nymphs', 'The Barberry Bush', 'The White Peak', 'On Arranging a Bowl of Violets', and 'To a New-Born Baby Girl', amongst others.
Conkling was a noted American author, and mother of fellow poet Hilda Conkling.
Condition
In the original publisher's paper covered boards. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Spine is a little sunned. A few light marks to the boards and spine, very light rubbing to the spine. Author's inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
