The first U.K. edition of this work, this is one of 500 copies published using American sheets. Half-title excised, as expected with this edition.

'The Widowing of Mrs. Holroyd' is a drama by D. H. Lawrence, following Mrs. Holroyd, who is married to an alcoholic and abusive miner. One day she wishes her husband would die, which happens sooner than she expected. 

Twenty pages of adverts to the rear.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Spine is faded. A few light marks to the cloth. Very light rubbing to the joints. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with only the occasional scattered spot.
