An exciting work recounting the voyages of Captain Robert Scott in vivid detail.
Robert Falcon Scott was a renowned Royal Navy officer and explorer. During his career he led two expeditions to the Antarctic regions, the 1901-1904 Discovery expedition, and the 1910-1913 Terra Nova expedition, on which he died. After his early death he became a celebrated hero amongst the British Public.
Illustrated with a frontispiece, one folding map, four colour plates, one double-paged plate, and twenty-eight plates.
Collated, complete.

Introduction by J. M. Barrie, the godfather of Robert's son, Peter Scott. Barrie was one of the seven people to whom Scott wrote letters to in the final hours of his life during the fatal Terra Nova expedition.
With a contemporary inscription, dated 1915, to the front pastedown.
Errata slip bound before the contents page.
Condition
In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with light handling marks to board perimeters. Front hinge strained, but firmly held. Inscription to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright, with light spotting throughout.
