The first edition of this work, being the first English translation. This work is an important French study on naval tactics, published just on the eve on World War One. The first part of the work is divided into five sub-sections, each looking at a seperate area of naval tactics, whereas the second part of the work is by Captain Laur giving his observation on Baudry's study. With five folding plates to the rear. With an introduction by Admiral Sir Reginald N. Custance. Collated, complete. Scarce.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. A very little bumping to the head and tail of the spine. A couple of very light spots to the fore edge. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with just some spots to the endpapers.
