'The Bee' was a literary magazine started by Goldsmith, which was published between the 6th October and the 24th November 1759; it included many of his most important essays.

Written by Irish author Oliver Goldsmith (1728-1774). A writer of both fiction, poetry and non-fiction, Goldsmith's other works include his celebrated novel, 'The Vicar of Wakefield', as well as biographical and historical works such as 'A History of the Earth and Animated Nature', 'The Life of Richard Nash' as included in this volume, 'Account of the Augustan Age in England', and 'The History of England, from the Earliest Times to the Death of George II'.

Illustrated with a frontispiece of the author by Sir Joshua Reynolds.

A very smart edition of Goldsmith's works.
