This volume presents a personal account of Cooper's experiences across several major campaigns during the Napoleonic Wars and the War of 1812. These accounts cover: The Peninsular War (1809–1814), with accounts of key battles such as Talavera, Bussaco, Albuera, and the Pyrenees, The Campaign in France (1814), during the conclusion of fighting Napoleon's forces, and the War of 1812 (1815), an account of the Battle of New Orleans.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. One or two handling marks to boards. Spine faded. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities. Previous owner's inscription to front endpapers. Slight offsetting to endpapers with the odd spot. internally, generally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean if slightly age toned, with the odd spot, heavier to first and last few leaves and fore edge.
