What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

This edition is characterised by the orange and black original publisher's cloth binding.

With an introduction by Samuel L. Bensusan.

Featuring 12 beautiful tipped-in colour plates by prolific Welsh artist Sir Frank Brangwyn. Collated complete.

Undated, dated from a copy held by the British Library.

Written by Alexander William Kinglake, travel writer and notable historian specialising in the Crimean War. Equally informative and witty, Kinglake documents his travels through "the East", thus providing insight into both the countries he visits and 19th century attitudes towards them.
