With a frontispiece, 30 further plates and a large folding map to the rear of the volume. Collated, complete.

An autobiographical account of the author's experience of the Balkan Wars of 1912-1913, written by English war correspondent of the First World War Ellis Ashmead-Bartlett.

This work details the time he accompanied the Ottoman army as a war correspondent. He describes his journey through Thrace, Turkey, and Bulgaria, as well as his observations of the Ottoman army's military strategies and tactics. 

Condition

In publisher's original decorative green cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Light bumping to head and tail of spine. Odd small mark to rear board. Offsetting and spotting to endpapers, with two owner's book plates to front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with spotting to the rear.
