    The poetical works of Matthew Arnold, the son of English educator and historian Thomas Arnold, the famous Head Master of Rugby School.

    Arnold is sometimes called the third great Victorian poet, along with Alfred, Lord Tennyson, and Robert Browning, with poems of his included here such as 'The Strayed Reveller', 'Alaric at Rome' and 'Horatian Echo'.

    With an introduction by prolific novelist Arthur Quiller-Couch.

    Illustrated with a frontispiece.

    In a half morocco signed binding by Riviere, with cloth covered boards.

    In a half morocco signed binding, with gilt detailing to back strip, and with cloth covered boards. Externally, excellent, with fading to back strip, as is common with green morocco. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
