What Our Customers Say...

Description

Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

A first edition thus, being the first to feature the illustrations of Arthur Rackham.

Barrie's novel, first published in 1902, contained several chapters written in a softer tone than the rest of the book, which introduced the character and mythology of Peter Pan. In 1906, those chapters were published separately as a children's book, 'Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens'.

This edition, published after the success of 'Peter Pan' had been established, is illustrated with a frontispiece and two plates by Arthur Rackham. Collated, complete.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Light shelf wear to back strip tail, otherwise externally excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
