This novel follows the mysterious discovery of an enormous block of gold found in the building of the registered offices of the Golden Hole Mining Company, Limited. 

the author, James Blythe, was a fairly prolific writer of both popular and science fiction, who is best remembered for his Future War novels, in all of which Britain is pitted against Germany.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart with rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Damp stain to the front board and sunning to the spine. Bookplate of one R. W. Lamb to the front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean. Offsetting to the endpapers and scattered spotting, heaviest to the first and last few leaves.
