This volume contains two volumes in one.
Little Folks was a long-running British children’s magazine published by Cassell & Co., launching in 1871 and concluding in 1933. This copy features a wide variety of stories, poems, serials, science curiosities, song lyrics, puzzles, and craft and illustration features, aimed at engaging children in both reading and hands‑on activities.
Each volume is illustrated with six colour plates. Collated, complete.
This edition also contains numerous vignettes and monochrome illustrations with numerous colour illustrations to the second, many of which are in full page.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Spine slightly faded. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities, particularly to spine. The odd small closed tear, chip and crease to spine. Rear joint cracked, with spine partially lifting. Offsetting to endpapers. The odd slight handling mark to boards. One or two spots of damp staining to spine. Internally, generally firmly bound. Hinges slightly strained in places, occasionally with binding material partially exposed, but holding. Pages bright and clean with one or two spots to fore edge.
