A concise monograph on pheasants and the hunting of them, offering a comprehensive guide to pheasant shooting, with chapters on targets, the ideal height to hit a pheasant and different ammunition to use.

Illustrated with a few in-text diagrams.

Bookplate of R. L. Foster to the front paste down, and to the head of the front wrap. Bookplate of John Kenneth Foster upside down to the rear paste down.

Condition

In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding with paper to the boards, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A few light marks to the boards. Bookplate to the paste downs. Spots to the fore edge. Discolouration to the paste downs and endpapers. Dust wrapper is edge worn with small chips and tears, chips heavier to the head and tail of the spine. Spine and extremities are age-toned. Light rubbing and marks to the wraps. Bookplate to the head of the front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with a few light handling marks.
