First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding

The first U.S. edition, published in the same year as the first U.K. edition.

A selection of eight short stories and eight poems, including 'The Company and Marjolaine', 'Avignon 1759', and 'The Grove of Ashtaroth'. All of these pieces had originally been published in 'Blackwood's Magazine'.

By the Scottish author best known for his 1915 novel 'The Thirty-Nine Steps', John Buchan.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart, with a few light marks to the cloth. A little light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Very light rubbing to the joints. Spine is a little discoloured. Front hinge is starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
